ligne et double ligne

may you explain better the difference between ligne and double ligne.
I read on p.79 only the English use double ligne, but in the photo on page 80, they are in ligne (not double) on 2 ranks, at least looking at the diagram of the line on pag 79.

We have already explained this point.

To summarize the idea  :we have decided to symbolized some formation.
In this case the English  player has some specifics rules which are only used by himself.
For example the charge order is allow.

And he has the possibility to fire on two ranks.
This is not allow for other nations.

This is one of the point which could be challenge by new players.
Don't forget we decided too simulate some formation.

so, to summarize:
French/russians/austrians/ rest of the world, in 2 ranks formation = they are in LIGNE (general rules apply)

British in 2 ranks formation = they are in DOUBLE LIGNE (SPECIFIC BRITISH rules apply)
